UPDATES

January 2010 - EQT Production Co. will expand its Marcellus Shale presence into NE Pennsylvania and southern New York through a new partnership with leasing company Endless Mountain Energy LLC of Olyphant, Pa.  EQT has drilled over 30 directional Marcellus Shale gas wells in SW Pennsylvania.

March 2010 – In a 90% stock / 10% cash deal valued at $280 million, EQT Corp. will soon acquire 58,000 acres in Cameron, Clearfield, Elk and Jefferson counties of Pennsylvania that include about 100 producing wells. This will boost EQT’s Marcellus Shale leaseholds to over 500,000 acres.

EQT Corporation, also known as Equitable Resources, is the largest exploration and production company in the Appalachian Basin. Divisions include EQT Production, and EQT Midstream with subdivision EQT Energy.

With a corporate history that dates back to the 19th Century, Equitable is now developing 3 trillion cubic feet of proven natural gas reserves in Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Kentucky and Virginia with nearly 13,000 gross productive wells in tight sands, shale, and coal bed methane (CBM).
